ESG 4.0 Masterclass

Unlocking purpose, resilience and real value in a fractured world

With Paul Clements-Hunt (creator of ESG) and Jennifer Nadel (author and Stanford University leadership expert)

Secretary General Kofi Annan launched the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) at the New York Stock Exchange on 27 April 2006. Anchored by ESG, the PRI is backed now, in 2025, by $121 trillion in investment assets.

Why now?

Today, the PRI represents more than $121 trillion in assets — but the world it was designed to protect is under unprecedented strain. ESG is being challenged, redefined, and in some quarters, undermined. Yet the need for it — for sustainable and humane decision-making — has never been greater.

Future Fit Executives

Critically, we build personal resilience into the ESG 4.0 Masterclass to ensure – whatever your position in an organisation – you develop the outlook and tools to live your values through your work and contribute to organizational purpose.

Whether you are a government agency, private company, NGO, or community group, we will help you view risk and opportunity through a new set of future-fit lenses. From board level to all operational aspects of your organization, our ESG 4.0 Masterclass will have a transformative impact.

Our trainers, Paul Clements-Hunt and Jennifer Nadel, bring decades of global leadership experience across politics, business, investment, media, and civil society, to create electrifying sessions focused on purpose and action for change.

What You’ll Gain

ESG 4.0 equips you to:

  • Reclaim the true purpose of ESG — as a framework for systemic transformation, not surface-level compliance.
  • Identify hidden value within your organisation by connecting purpose, performance, and people.
  • Navigate the backlash with strategic confidence and integrity.
  • Embed well-being and resilience into leadership so you and your teams can sustain impact.

Our approach spans four dimensions of sustainability:

  • Systemic – the global shifts shaping our shared future.
  • Sectoral – how industries are adapting and competing.
  • Operational – embedding purpose in daily practice.
  • Executive – leading with clarity, empathy, and moral authority.

The ESG 4.0 Experience

This is not another lecture series. It’s a dynamic, interactive laboratory for leadership and change — fusing live dialogue, reflection, and strategic application. You’ll explore:

  • How to align your institution’s purpose with the defining risks and opportunities of our time.
  • How to communicate with authenticity and conviction in polarised environments.
  • How to lead from purpose, not fear.

Each session integrates a well-being and resilience module — equipping leaders to sustain moral courage under pressure.

Who It’s For

  • C-suite and senior executives
  • Policy and sustainability leaders
  • ESG, CSR, and governance professionals
  • Investors and financial decision-makers
  • Boards seeking to future-proof strategy and reputation

Your Trainers

Paul Clements-Hunt

Creator of ESG (2004) | Former Head of UNEP Finance Initiative | Global Advisor on Sustainable Finance

Building on more than three decades at the intersection of sustainability, finance, and policy, Paul has trained and advised leaders across over 60 countries — from G20 governments and central banks to Fortune 500 boards and emerging market innovators. As the architect behind the term ESG, he led the coalition that gave rise to the UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), shaping how trillions of dollars in global capital are now deployed.

Paul is a sought-after educator and facilitator, known for his dynamic approach to executive training. He has designed and delivered senior leadership programmes for governments, multinational corporations and major financial institutions across Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. His sessions combine strategic insight with systems thinking — helping leaders translate sustainability principles into resilient business strategy.

He is also the Founder of The Blended Capital Group (TBCG), which works with governments, investors, and corporates to bridge capital and purpose. Paul has guest lectured at leading universities including Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, and INSEAD.
